A kalash is the vessel placed at the start of every auspicious beginning. It holds what is precious and passes it on, undiminished.
That is the whole idea behind this school. Every ankle bell tied, every taal counted aloud, every hand shaped into a mudra carries something far older than any of us into the next pair of hands.
Lucknow has been a home of Kathak for centuries, and we teach in that lineage — the dance, the music living inside it, and the culture and values that gave both their meaning. Students arrive as beginners and leave as custodians.
